Mat Walklate is a professional musician, singer, composer and songwriter, working primarily as a vocalist and harmonica player. He also plays flute, tin whistle and uilleann pipes.
His work centres on blues and Irish traditional music, as a performer, collaborator and teacher.
Mat is a Lecturer in Folk at Leeds Conservatoire, where he teaches harmonica, and an official endorser of C.A. Seydel Söhne Harmonicas.
He currently performs with The House Devils, Mat Walklate & Alex Haynes, and Cryin’ Shame, alongside teaching and composition work.
